ข้าพเจ้าใคร่ให้ท่านทั้งหลายพูดภาษาต่างๆได้ แต่ยิ่งกว่านั้นอีกข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาจะให้ท่านทั้งหลายพยากรณ์ได้ เพราะว่าผู้ที่พยากรณ์ได้นั้นก็ใหญ่กว่าคนที่พูดภาษาต่างๆได้ เว้นแต่เขาสามารถแปลภาษานั้นๆออก เพื่อคริสตจักรจะได้รับความจำเริญขึ้น
