ต่อมาเมื่อบรรดากษัตริย์ของคนอาโมไรต์ซึ่งอยู่ฟากจอร์แดนข้างตะวันตก และบรรดากษัตริย์ของคนคานาอัน ซึ่งอยู่ใกล้ทะเล ได้ยินว่าพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบันดาลให้น้ำในจอร์แดนแห้งไปต่อหน้าคนอิสราเอล ให้เราข้ามฟากไปได้หมดแล้ว จิตใจของเขาก็ละลายไป ไม่มีกำลังใจในตัวอีกต่อไปเหตุเพราะคนอิสราเอลโยชูวา 5:1 ในโลกจริง
