แล้วทูลพระองค์ว่า “ถ้าท่านเป็นพระบุตรของพระเจ้า จงโจนลงไปเถิด เพราะพระคัมภีร์มีเขียนไว้ว่า ‘พระองค์จะรับสั่งให้เหล่าทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์ในเรื่องท่าน และเหล่าทูตสวรรค์จะเอามือประคองชูท่านไว้ เกรงว่าในเวลาหนึ่งเวลาใดเท้าของท่านจะกระแทกหิน’”
