ในวันนั้นดาวิดตรัสว่า “ผู้ใดจะขึ้นไปตามทางน้ำไหลและโจมตีคนเยบุส คนง่อยและคนตาบอด ผู้ซึ่งจิตใจของดาวิดเกลียดชัง ผู้นั้นจะเป็นผู้บัญชาการทหาร” เพราะฉะนั้นเขาจึงว่ากันว่า “อย่าให้คนตาบอดและคนง่อยเข้ามาในพระนิเวศ”
