The Parable of the Mustard Seed
Free Bible Version (FBV)
Mat 13:31–32
- 31 He gave them another illustration: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a farmer sowed in his field.
- 32 Even though it's the tiniest of seeds it grows much bigger than other plants. In fact it grows into a tree big enough for birds to roost in its branches.”
Mrk 4:30–32
- 30 What can we compare God's kingdom to? What illustration shall we use?” he asked.
- 31 “It's like a mustard seed, the tiniest seed of all.
- 32 But when it's sown it grows into a plant that's larger than other plants. It has branches big enough that birds can roost in its shade.”
Luk 13:18–19
- 18 Then Jesus asked, “So what is the kingdom of God like? What should I compare it to?
- 19 It's like a mustard seed that a man planted in his garden. It grew into a tree, and the birds came and nested in its branches.”
