The Last Supper

Free Bible Version (FBV)

Mat 26:26–30

  1. 26 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave pieces to the disciples. “Take and eat this for it is my body,” said Jesus.
  2. 27 Then he picked up the cup, blessed it, and gave it to them. “Drink from it, all of you,” he told them.
  3. 28 “For this is my blood of the agreement, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
  4. 29 However, I tell you, I won't drink this fruit of the vine until the day I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.”
  5. 30 After they'd sung a song, they left for the Mount of Olives.

Mrk 14:22–26

  1. 22 As they were eating, Jesus picked up some bread. He blessed it, and gave it to them. “Take it. This is my body,” he told them.
  2. 23 Then he picked up the cup. He blessed it, and gave it to them. They all drank from it.
  3. 24 “This is my blood,” he told them, “the agreement that's being poured out for many.
  4. 25 I tell you the truth, I won't drink of the fruit of the vine until the day I drink it fresh in God's kingdom.”
  5. 26 After they had sung a psalm, they left for the Mount of Olives.

Luk 22:14–23

  1. 14 When the time came, he sat down at the table with his apostles. He told them,
  2. 15 “I've been really looking forward to eating this Passover meal with you before my sufferings begin.
  3. 16 I tell you I shall not eat it again until the time is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
  4. 17 Jesus took the cup, and after he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves.
  5. 18 I tell you that I won't drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
  6. 19 He picked up some bread, and after he had given thanks, he broke it into pieces and gave it to them. “This is my body which is given for you; do this in order to remember me,” Jesus told them.
  7. 20 In the same way after they had finished supper, he picked up the cup and said, “This cup is the new agreement in my blood which is poured out for you.”
  8. 21 “In spite of this, my betrayer is sitting right here with me at the table.
  9. 22 For it has been determined that the Son of man will die, yet how disastrous it will be for his betrayer!”
  10. 23 They began to argue among themselves as to who this might be and who could do this.
