Matthew 24

Then Jesus said to the people, “Think about a good worker. His boss knows that he will always do what the boss says, and he does things properly. So, if the boss has to go away for a while, he picks that good worker to be in charge of all his other workers, to look after them and feed them every day.

Later the boss will come home, and if he sees that worker doing everything properly, the boss will be good to that worker.

He will put him in charge of everything he owns. Yes, that’s right.

But now think about a bad worker. If the boss goes away for a while that bad worker will say to himself, ‘My boss will be away for a long time.’

Then he will do bad things. He will hit the other workers, and he will eat too much food, and get drunk with others that drink too much.

Then the boss will come home at a time when the bad worker doesn’t think he will, and the boss will catch him doing bad things.

And the boss will punish that bad worker a lot. He will put him in a bad place with all the other people that never do what they say. Everyone in that place will cry, and they will be so angry they will bite their teeth together.”
